Since 1936, in its Parisian ateliers, Maison Michel has been making hats which could never be considered mere accessories. Every day, hatters and milliners create new pieces using their unique, valuable know-how, passed down with passion from generation to generation. Season after season, artistic director Priscilla Royer draws on the heritage of Maison Michel to reinvent the luxury hat in her own way.
Why wearing a hat?
From women’s hats to men’s hats, including cut-and-sewn pieces, Maison Michel stands out for its unparalleled creativity and exceptional quality. A hat is an essential fashion accessory that protects you from the cold in winter, the sun in summer and more than anything, gives everyone the freedom to express their personality in style.
Each collection explores the various iconic shapes used by Maison Michel over the seasons, all available in rabbit or wool felt, straw and fabric. The Maison’s signature design, the Virginie is a classic fedora with a crown adorned with a very feminine comma mark, while the Charles and the Henrietta have more sophisticated, masculine lines. These fedoras are accompanied by glamorous sun hats and cloches like the Kate and the Julianne, as well as short-brimmed boaters and trilbies that are more urban, like the Kiki and the Ygor. Just like a garment, a Maison Michel hat enhances the silhouette and creates a certain allure.
